Business Development / MASSIDA EXPRESS SERVICES à Djibouti
Job description:
Achieves/exceeds revenue goals for a territory by using appropriate sales techniques and processes to close, retain and grow profitable business that directly supports the Company’s mission.
Focuses on achieving the required Customer Experience by developing and maintaining professional relationships that inspire trust and loyalty to Massida Express Services (MES).
Key Accountabilities:
1.Participate to yearly business development strategy and objectives;
2.Ensure revenue objectives are achieved;
3.Develops and maintains knowledge of FedEx business (products and service capabilities, technology, strategies etc), together with relevant knowledge of industry and market environment factors (competitor, economic trends, trade customs etc);
4.Negotiate best terms and develop close relationship with suppliers;
5.Develops understanding of each prospective Customers' business and requirements, whilst establishing effective relationships. Uses effective sales processes and techniques to negotiate and close profitable new business that is aligned with MES sales goals, whilst providing the most effective solution for the Customer's business;
6.Plan and organize daily visits to identify new prospects and convert into clients;
7.Ongoing focuses on ensuring that each Customer's requirements and issues are correctly identified and addressed by MES;
8.Weekly business development report for MES management tracking performance and strategic planning by completing accurate and on-time Sales K.P.I.'s (top customers, prospects, sales activities, commitments etc);
9.Performs miscellaneous administrative tasks including creating and maintaining accurate and timely customer details within defined systems and responding to correspondence and enquiries;
10.Continuous Improvement - Develops expertise while supporting Sales initiatives and process improvements. Participates in miscellaneous projects, trials, and/or recruitment initiatives, providing structured and focused feedback on outcomes;
11.Working with different teams of Massida Group to cross sell various services and optimize sales efforts.
Ideal candidate :
1.Minimum 3 years’ experience in business development, negotiation and contracting in or express courier or freight forwarding services with solid knowledge of air operations;
2.Strong networking, communication and interpersonal skills;
3.Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies;
4.Focused and goal-oriented ;
5.Bachelor's degree or logistics industry equivalent;
6.Fluent English (French and Arabic are an advantage).
