15 Data Enumerators à Djibouti
Job Title: 15 Data Enumerators
Duration of Contract: 20 Days
Locations: Data collection will be conducted in Tadjourah, Obock and DjiboutiVille
SCOPE OF WORK:
The data enumerator contract is on a need-for-work basis and is not a full-time role. The data enumerator, working under the supervision of Livelihood Team Leader will be responsible for administering questionnaires to Refugees and host communities in Obock, Tadjourah, Djibouti-ville and AR-Aoussa. The role requires frequent travel to and days to be spent in the field where DRC assessment works.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
The data enumerator will be responsible for the following:
•Collecting data as per the requirements and the clarification give on the data enumerators training.
•Seek out respondents who fit the suggested profiles in assigned locations and collect data based on questionnaires developed and supplied by the DRC Djibouti area office.
•Gather and accurately record responses on questionnaires/mobile application provided by DRC team
•Ensure that questionnaires have been thoroughly checked and completed.
•Submit completed questionnaires and other equipment (mobile/tablet) used in fieldwork to data collection and, if required to do so, compile his/her findings in a format required by the programme.
•As part of each assignment, participate in briefings, carry out data collection, data entry and/or reporting.
•Recognize and give account of problems in obtaining data and provide useful feedback from field supervise.
•Work according to the given time frame and data collection plan
REPORTING LINES:
The data enumerators will work in the migrant sites/filed under the guidance and supervision of the livelihood team leader and will report to the MEAL Officer or his designee as designated by the Team Leader.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS the data enumerator should have;
•At minimum, secondary school certificate, diploma is desirable
•Experience in data collection, administering questionnaires and conducting interviews, data collection and data entry;
•Experience in collecting data using mobile/tablets to collect data is an advantage;
•Willingness to learn and explore new experiences
•Familiar with the data collection sites.
•Fluency in speaking and understanding English, French and the local language.
ESSENTIAL TRAITS:

•Communication: Confidently expresses self, able to clearly ask questions and help the respondent understand what is needed from her/him.

•Accuracy: Must be able to interpret and record responses appropriately without distorting the respondent’s meaning or confusing the reader.
•Endurance: Must be able to work for full day working hours in the field across a number of days.
