Location: Remote, Hybrid, or Djibouti
Contract Type: 3-Month Project Contract
Working Schedule:
Friday & Saturday only
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Break
3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Approximately 24 working days (192 hours) per developer
About D.A.S
D.A.S (Djibouti Address System) is a national digital infrastructure project designed to register, map, and manage addresses across Djibouti.
The platform consists of:
A public website
A field staff mobile application
An administrator dashboard
A postal and logistics management platform developed for La Poste Djibouti
This project aims to build the country's first comprehensive national digital addressing system.
What You Will Build
As a member of the development team, you will contribute to building:
Public web platform using React / Next.js
Backend services and REST APIs using Node.js (NestJS) or Laravel
PostgreSQL database architecture
GIS and mapping features using PostGIS, Mapbox, and OpenStreetMap
Mobile application for field staff with offline data collection and synchronization
Required Skills
Minimum 3 years of Full-Stack Web Development experience.
Strong knowledge of:
React / Next.js
Node.js (NestJS) or Laravel
PostgreSQL
Experience building REST APIs.
Ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a remote team.
Good written and spoken English is required.
French is an advantage.
Bonus Skills
Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:
PostGIS
GIS / Mapping Applications
Mapbox
OpenStreetMap
Flutter
React Native
Offline-first mobile applications
Synchronization systems
Contract Duration
This is a 3-month project contract.
Developers who perform well during the project may be offered a permanent position as D.A.S continues to expand.
Compensation
Compensation and payment terms will be discussed with shortlisted candidates during the interview process and confirmed in the employment contract before work begins.
