Purpose of role

The Junior Accountant Cashier is responsible for handling of cash collection and allocating
costs to proper accounts. He/she is responsible for proper cash management I and
disbursement processing. The incumbent is also responsible for collecting all payment, daily
sells and effects different payments and handles the disbursement of the petty cash as
directed.

Job role and responsibilities:

1. Collects all daily payments and deposits to bank
2. Draws cash from the bank as directed and pays handles payment in accordance with the established procedures.
3. Keeps the custody of and disbursement of the petty cash fund and its replenishment as directed in accordance with the guidelines
4. Receives cash from invoiced customers, sales and issue receipts as directed.
5. Issues receipts for all cash received and collects receipts for all paid.
6. Maintains a cash register book for all transactions and accounts and record all payments and receipts
7. Submits documents of cash receipts and deposits to the concerned unit in accordance with the guidelines.
8. Prepares a periodic activity reports in accordance with the established procedures.
9. Carries out other related duties assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.

Qualification

1. First Degree in Finance, Accounting or other related fields and 1 year related work experience. Experience in automotive industry is an added advantage

5. Proven ability to work cross-functionally
6. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
7. Identify and develop problem solving methodologies to resolve customer issues.

9. Strong Communication & Listening skills.
10. Strong analytical and financial data interpretation skills.
11. Sound exposure in the use of financial systems such as SAP
