About the job purpose

• To extract and analyze financial information to help businesses make well-informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements
• Provide consistent financial support to stakeholders of the business in order to facilitate sustained improvement of value-creation
• Ensure that reporting (actuals, budgets, forecasts) is carried out in a timely and correct way
• Provides commercial financial analysis on KPIs giving data driven insights to aid decision making. The analyst is a key business partner to function and equip business with multiple source analytical data
• Close out for month-end closing and satisfy stakeholders requirement through providing accurate financial figures, insights and tracking of KPI's business units

The Job role and responsibilities

1. Planning, performance monitoring & reporting
   • Provides analytical support to produce the annual budget and quarterly forecasts including key insights and recommendations
   • Works closely with the Leadership Team to formulate insights for the business's medium to long term financial and strategic plan
   • Assist in highlighting future risks and opportunities by reforecasting
   • Participate in revenue/margin/contribution analysis and explanation of performance against budget, prior performance and market conditions
   • Support month end -end closing, Trial balance review, compilation and analysis of financial statements Follow group instructions and manage monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and yearly reporting. Consolidate commentary to be included in the monthly business performance review and report
     
     
2. Commercial support
   • Understand the drivers of current performance
   • Is a guardian of pricing and commercial policies efficiency and compliance; provides recommendations on pricing and margin corrections to respective business owners
   • Uses internal and external information to extrapolate future performance based on scenario planning
   • Works with various Business units to turn analysis into value adding insight
   • Shares consistenumeports to department's using agreed KPI's in a timely and consistent manner
     
     
3. Finance projects
   • Supports finance projects as required and seeking operational efficiencies
   • Assists in the production of commercially viable business cases to deliver strategic initiatives, creates and runs economical and financial models when required
   • Participates in production of strategic plans using insightful analysis
   • Contributes to turning strategic initiatives into budget deliverables
   • Participates in monitoring and tracking the delivery of strategic initiatives
   • Works as a partner with team for the achievement of specific target, which includes Internal and External Audit and Statutory requirement
